![]() ![]() Such programs are not a necessity, but they are a “means to an end.” Not using a mind map won’t drastically affect how your project finishes up in the long run. And that would be the actual application of mind mapping tools in project management. This theory also begs for another question to be answered. Some people call it a statement of intent, but it serves the same purpose when we look at it from the perspective of project management. “A mind mapping software helps project managers to capture, catch and connect newly formed ideas.”Īs a matter of fact, mind mapping phenomenon is so important that I think it should come before you write down a work statement at the start of a project. That is okay in understanding the need to promote rankings.īut when there is an abundance of such mind mapping tools without any elaboration on how they work, how are they useful and what exactly does a mind mapping app do, it turns into a steaming pile of bull pizzle. Their only intent is to promote their own product or do an SEO roundup for getting organic traffic from the search engine. These new companies do a standoff of the so-called best mind mapping app on their official blog. ![]() As of right now, the internet is brimming with tons of mind mapping apps. These programs are known as mind mapping software(s). In that realm, developers took the same concept and applied them to a bunch of workable programs. Everyone would pitch in with their idea – except that it would be in the form of “mind maps”, block diagrams and other elements. Remember those days when you or a group of workers wanted to start a project? They would huddle around the whiteboard, create images and vice versa. Mind mapping app is the revamped version of your old school whiteboard diagrams. Post content imported from The Excursions of the Split-Personality Author on Blogger.Video Source: TedX – Naperville I Don’t Know What a Mind Mapping App Is… Here’s hoping it comes to Windows soon after release! Thanks to software like Scrivener and Scapple, where Bryant always says the only thing he’s proud to be a fanboy of is Google, I would say the only thing I’m proud to be a fanboy of is Literature and Latte. It has almost been the first program to reach a perfect score by CWS scales. Scapple is by all means a wonderful program. There’s really not much to say in terms of stability other than I hope it gets better than it is even though it’s really not that bad considering it is beta software. I have had a few crashes with Scapple though that is to be expected from beta software. So usability Scapple in terms of mind mapping I would say is unmatched. There are few others but they’re not as fantastic and universally usable as these four. Furthermore Scapple has a few very good output formats: PDF, PNG, TXT, and RTF. Not to mention as I talked about in the aesthetic portion, you can do anything your heart desires in terms of mind mapping thanks to the free form format of Scapple. Everything you do in Scapple can be done about fifteen different ways making it extremely usable. Scapple seems to have no downsides even in beta. I’m also a huge fan of the sepia background that Literature and Latte chose to integrate into Scapple, and in fullscreen the application is about ten times as good as it is small screen. You can make a chart like I made in it, or you can make a bubble map – pretty much any sort of mind mapping chart you can think of is possible with Scapple and that in and of itself bumps the aesthetic aspect up a whole lot. ![]() The free form design technique is really I believe one of the things that makes it so beautiful. It is amazing and I could give it nothing less than 50 without hurting my heart. I did not think it was possible but this application is elegant yet simplistic at the same time. So the real question to ask is if you want to know so bad what I have in it, is it bad enough that you want to ruin future books for you? If you are bad enough that you say you don’t care and you want to use your Photoshop skills to unblur it be my guest but know this – once you know someo f the stuff in that document, it really starts to deteriorate some of the experience from the Napolitano Saga which is to include “The Eighth Empire” and “Blood of Thae”. So I blurred out the words because it is a pretty big document and I don’t want it to be clear what I have in it. Well then there’s that question – is it good? I think so.Ĭan I say for sure? Pretty much even though I only have had one perfect chance to use the program. Okay so that’s out of the way – we know what it’s for. It’s pretty much a scratch out mind mapping program, right? Right. Literature and Latte has in beta a software known as Scapple. ![]()
